The following requirements must be met when applying for a new VODACOM CONTRACT :

• Proof of gross monthly income over R3 500 (This maybe joint income)

• Proof of income can be either a salary slip, 3 months bank statements,
  specified cheque account i.e. Status, Premier, Achiever (copy of cheque)etc.
  or a Gold card.

• Must have one of the following - Cheque account or Transmission a/c with a Credit Card

• Identity document

• Proof of physical address - Telkom bill etc.

CONTRACT PACKAGES

There are two categories of contract packages. You have the choice of Business or Leisure Packages. Some of the packages offer free Talktime. There are also a wide range of Value Added Services on these packages, such as free Voicemail and free emergency calls. Being on contract means that each month you will be charged for the calls made during the month as well as a basic subscription fee.

AIRTIME UNITS

Most contract packages offer you the opportunity of choosing between Standard (being billed in units of one minute) or Per Second Billing (being billed in units of one second) tariffs plans.A migration fee may be payable to your service provider should you wish to move at a later stage.

PER SECOND BILLING

Most Vodacom Packages now have the option of Per Second Tariff Plans with call units of only on second from the first second, so you only pay for the time that you talk. For example if you talk for 45 seconds, you will only be billed for 45 seconds, and not for the whole minute.
