How-to: Transfer files via Bluetooth on X10 Mini

A lot of people have been asking questions on how to transfer files via Bluetooth on the X10 Mini which uses the Google OS. It is possible using a third party application, but it seems there’s still some confusion.

First of all, you’ll need to install “Bluetooth File Transfer” from the Android Market. It’s a free application. Secondly, you’ll have to open an application capable of sending a file –  we suggest using the camera application to send a photo.. Just press the Message icon in the top left corner and choose “Bluetooth File Transfer” from the list of options. If Bluetooth isn’t enabled, the application will prompt you and ask if it should be turned on – make sure it is turned on!

After a simple search for visible Bluetooth devices, you’ll have to pick one from the list of found devices, for example your computer. It’s simple though – just choose a PIN on the phone (you might have to type it twice) and then type it on the computer again. That’s it. Your transfer should begin now.

This, by the way, is also how it works on the X10 and X10 Mini Pro, if you’re using the Bluetooth File Transfer application.
