Prepaid is a “Pay as you Go” service that caters for individuals that are either don’t want to be locked into a contract or just visiting SA. There are a wide variety of price plans to suit everyone needs, there are 4 prepaid options giving the prepaid subscriber the option to change their package every 30 days.
Prepaid users have the option of selecting airtime vouchers available from any of our stores in the following denominations. Ranging from R5, R12, R29, R55, R110, R275 and the R1000. Upon purchasing the R1000 voucher, your account is credited with an additional 10% giving you R1100 airtime.
Data bundles have recently become available giving you the option to buy Standard & Advanced bundles ranging from starting 8MB for R9,25 going up to as much as 20GIG

Everytime you recharge with Airtime, every R10 you spend you receive 1 talking point Eg. R110 airtime you will receive 11 points. Talking point is one of the ways that Vodacom rewards you for recharging and once you reach 100 points can be redeemed for a SMS bundle or discount on calls or even a MMS bundle.
Whether you have airtime or don’t, you can make use of 10 free “please call me” daily and to make use of a free Vodamail address available to all active Vodacom subscribers having a storage capacity of 3GB with up to 5 aliases with spam and virus protection. Eg. John.smith@vodamail.co.za
Vodacom has released a service called Vodacom Airtime Advance that allows you to customers to stay connected when they run out of airtime. If you qualify for this service and have registered you will be advanced R10 airtime into your account. There will be a service fee of R1 everytime you make use of this service. Eg. Upon your next recharge that has to be within 30 days you load a R29 voucher, your account will be debited with R11 immediately giving you a balance of R18.

Rica is a South African law that enforces that every Simcard is registered, hence upon purchasing a Prepaid SIM that you take either your SA ID or Passport that is valid and proof of address.
